Silica fire brick is a primary type of refractory material that we produce at Ruitai Lianxin for high-temperature applications. If you operate heavy industrial kilns or furnaces, you likely use this type of silica refractory fire brick in specific areas.
It is not a brick for everything, but where it works, it works very well because of its unique chemical nature. We have been manufacturing these bricks for many years and know how to make them durable.

1.What makes our silica brick special?
The main point about silica brick composition is that it is made almost entirely of SiO₂. We use high-quality raw quartzite, so the SiO2 content is usually above 96%. This high purity gives the silica brick properties that other bricks do not have. For example, silica fire brick has excellent resistance to acid slag attack.
Also, it does not soften under load until it gets very close to its melting point. It remains strong at temperatures where other bricks might deform.
When it heats up, it expands slightly, which helps seal the joints in a furnace roof. We control the silica brick density during pressing to ensure good mechanical strength.
2.Where are silica bricks used?
The biggest silica brick application is the crown and roof of glass melting furnaces. The brick stays strong and doesn’t drop material into the glass melt.

Another major use is in the heating chambers and walls of coke ovens. Because silica has good heat transfer when it’s very hot (good silica brick thermal conductivity at working temperature), it is perfect for cooking coal into coke.
These fire bricks are also used in hot blast stoves for iron making. It is truly a specialized silica brick refractory choice for these heavy industries.
3.Specifications and customization
We offer many standard silica brick specifications. For normal repairs or standard kiln builds, we maintain stock of common shapes and sizes. You can check our standard silica brick dimensions in our product tables.
However, we know that many industrial furnaces require special shapes, especially for roof arches and burner blocks. Our silica brick factory has a dedicated workshop for making custom molds based on your drawings.
If you need technical data to compare, just ask us for a silica brick datasheet or our complete silica brick catalogue. We make sure the specifications match your engineering requirements.
As an experienced silica brick exporter, we know how to pack the bricks securely so they do not chip or crack during sea transport. When you look for a reliable silica brick company for your next furnace project, we are ready to supply.
