1.Production and materials

Then we fire it in a long tunnel kiln for over 4-5 days. This long heating makes sure the quartz changes into tridymite and cristobalite completely.

Do not just look at the price. Look at the silica brick density. Standard quality reaches around 2.34g/cm3 to 2.38g/cm3. True density shows how well it was fired.
Another point is silica brick thermal conductivity. At high temperatures over 1000 degrees, it increases, which is good for heat transfer in furnace roofs.
