Sintered Zirconia Corundum Bricks
Sintered zirconia corundum bricks (AZS bricks) are a type of refractory material made primarily from zirconia-corundum clinker.
The main components of zirconia-corundum clinker are aluminum oxide (Al₂O₃) and zirconium oxide (ZrO₂), with the zirconium oxide content ranging from 33% to 45%.
These bricks possess many excellent properties. Firstly, they offer excellent high-temperature resistance, with an operating temperature exceeding 1700°C. They also possess excellent thermal shock and corrosion resistance, withstanding drastic temperature fluctuations and chemical attack. Therefore, they are often used in critical high-temperature melting environments, such as glass melting furnaces and non-ferrous metal smelting furnaces.
